Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, FMN has donated over N2 billion to the country’s efforts to combat the covid-19
pandemic in the country .FMN has paid its pledge of N1 billion in cash as part of the private sector initiative
to support government funding efforts while the rest is being offered as materials in food and medical supplies.
FMN is offering its Golden Penny products ,semovita, rice, spaghetti, wheatmeal macaroni and couscous worth over
N400 million to various states in the country. Group Chairman of FMN, Mr John Coumantaros, Group Chief executive
officer,Paul Gbadedo and Group Chief Operating Officer, Boye Olusanya were always at hand to personally hand
over these relief items to officials of the state governments in Lagos,Edo and Enugu, among others .
Chairman said the company found it necessary to contribute to efforts of government to alleviate the sufferings
of the ordinary people at this time when covid-19 had forced them to stay at home.
Several trailer-loads of Golden Penny products were delivered to designated government warehouse in Lagos. So
too, at other beneficiary states.
