Sipe Heads Ecobank’s Marketing and Communications

Ecobank Nigeria Plc has appointed Jide Sipe as the new head of the bank’s marketing and Communications. Sipe joins the bank from Heirs Insurance where he held a similar position.
Sipe is an experienced banking corporate communications hand, having worked for several years at rival GTBank where he was head of corporate communications for several years.
Sipe was Brand manager at Heirs Insurance before his move to Ecobank, early this month.
A graduate of Urban and Regional Planning of the University of Lagos, Sipe is an associate member of the National Institute of Marketing,NIMN and the Advertising Practitioners Association of Nigeria.
Ecobank,a transnational bank with strong footprint on the Africa continent,battles several strong competitors in the Nigerian market for market share.These include Zenith,UBA,First Bank and GTB.
